She was beautiful and guarded, like a prayer I was afraid to ask for. From where I stood, she felt almost impossible to reach. But the closer I came, the more I began to see a tender heart beneath all her strength. She loved deeply, gave without counting, and cared in ways the world may never truly know. In her softness, I found something I never wanted the world to hurt again. A part of her that was rarely shown, yet somehow became the very thing I wanted to protect the most. That was when I knew, I did not only want to love her. I wanted to stand beside her, understand her, and protect the heart she had trusted me enough to see.

I was used to belonging only to myself. I had carried my own heart for so long that I forgot how it felt to let someone in. So I doubted, resisted, and made it hard for him to stay, not because I did not care, but because I had never really known what safe love was supposed to feel like. But he never came with force. He came with patience, with quiet effort, and with a tenderness that did not ask me to change overnight. Slowly, he showed me that love does not have to feel like fear. Sometimes, love is someone who chooses you gently, again and again, until your heart finally learns how to rest.

Our Love Story
